Meet our Practice

Adam C. Polivy, DMD, CAGS

Dr. Polivy completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology from the University of Rochester. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He joined the practice shortly thereafter and has enjoyed meeting and treating the many patients who come for excellent dental care. Dr. Polivy was born and raised in Newton, and currently resides locally with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs.

John Ficarelli, DMD

Dr. Ficarelli received his dental and pediatric specialty training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and Boston Floating Hospital of New England Medical Center. He is Director of Dentistry at the Massachusetts Hospital School and is on staff at Tufts Medical Center and the Franciscan Hospital for Children. Dr. Ficarelli is board certified and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.  He is President and a founding board member of Project Stretch: Dentistry Reaching Out to Children, an international dental volunteer organization. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Cleft Palate Association, the Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In 2007, he was inducted as a fellow of the International College of Dentists and is also a Fellow of the Academy of Dental Science and the American College of Dentists. Dr. Ficarelli also practices Pediatric Dentistry at Dental Associates of Walpole, LLP.

Harvey A. Shaff, DMD

Dr. Shaff completed his dental education at the University of Pennsylvania in 1970. He is a former instructor at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and was inducted into their honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. In addition, he was the former President of the Greater Boston Dental Society. Dr. Shaff has been practicing dentistry in Chestnut Hill for over 40 years and has enjoyed treating each and every patient who has entered the office. Dr. Shaff enjoys skiing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Andrew Danberg-Ficarelli, DMD

Dr. Andrew Danberg-Ficarelli is originally from Newton Centre, MA and now lives in Boston, where he earned his DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ficarelli stayed at Tufts to complete a specialty residency in pediatric dentistry, and was appointed chief resident by the department. A board certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Ficarelli is an active participant in the dental charity Project Stretch: Dentistry Reaching Out to Children and during dental school was tapped for a national leadership position in the American Student Dental Association. His B.A. degree is from Columbia College of Columbia University, where he studied economics and political science. A fluent Spanish speaker, Dr. Ficarelli has also lived and worked in Latin America. He is an impassioned oarsman and hiker, has enjoyed completing several organized endurance challenges, and sings with the local Highland Glee Club. Dr. Ficarelli also practices Pediatric Dentistry at Dental Associates of Walpole, LLP.

Eric Gheewalla, DMD

Dr. Eric Gheewalla earned his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he went on to complete his orthodontic residency in 1993. Since then he has been in private practice, serving the residents of Medford (, Boston and Brookline.  Dr. Gheewalla is a premier provider of Invisalign and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr Gheewalla is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, East Middlesex District Dental Society, New England Society of Orthodontists, Massachusetts Association of Orthodontics, Tufts Association of Orthodontists, International College of Dentists and the Boston Invisalign Study Club. Dr. Gheewalla enjoys biking, tennis, travel, reading, and photography in his free time.

Dr. Tagerman, DMD

Dr. Samantha Tagerman grew up in Newton, Massachusetts. She earned her B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University in New Orleans. Dr. Tagerman then went on to receive her D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated first in her class with honors in Community Oral Health and Care for the Medically Complex. She was inducted into the Mathew Cryer Society, the highest academic honor at Penn Dental Medicine.

After dental school, Dr. Tagerman completed a two-year residency in orthodontics at Tufts University. Dr. Tagerman is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.

In her free time, she tries to spend as much time as she can outdoors, whether it be hiking, running or waterskiing. She is also an avid baker loves trying new recipes. Dr. Tagerman truly enjoys getting to know all of her patients and feels lucky to be able to help them improve their smiles.

Robert G. Csillag DMD

Dr. Csillag has over 40 years of experience in dentistry.  He received his AB in Biochemistry from Harvard University in 1971, then attended the University of Liege Medical School, in Belgium, and continued on to earn his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1977. Upon graduation, he established his own practice which provided quality care to the community in a small office setting which allowed him to  develop one to one relationships with his patients. Dr. Csillag places an emphasis on prevention and conservative, high quality treatment. He keeps up with ever changing technology to provide the finest dental care to his patients. He is one of a select group of dentists, nationally, to offer One Visit Porcelain Crowns with the aid of CAD/CAM Technology. Less than 25% of dentists nationally use this technology. He is a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He enjoys family practice dentistry because it promotes personalized, relationship focused care while allowing him to spend time with his own family. Dr. Csillag is happily married and has two grown daughters.

Ronit Antebi-Hadar, DMD

“Preventive care is my main mission. The best offense is a good defense which works in sports as well as dentistry.”

Dr. Antebi has been a member of our team since 2018. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience providing preventive, restorative and emergency dentistry on a broad range of patients.  She is our primary provider of hospital dentistry.  For those very young children, for those children with extensive decay and for patients with any variety of special needs, Dr. Antebi will allow the option of comprehensive care while the child is asleep under general anesthesia in the hospital’s operating room. Dr. Antebi has been a dentist since 2001 when she received her dental degree at the Semmelweis University School of Dentistry in Budapest, Hungary. After moving to this country, she received both her dental degree and her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Pediatric Dentistry from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Antebi is proud to be a part of Dr. Ficarelli’s team and, when she is not helping patients in Chestnut Hill, she practices with her husband in Lexington. 

Dr. Antebi enjoys her time with her family, she loves to play tennis and swim as well as teaching her two young girls to be as fluent in Hebrew as she is.  

Dr. Antebi is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry since 2008. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
